John L. “Jack” Quinn

John L. “Jack” Quinn is a civil litigation and appellate lawyer practicing primarily in Lake and Cook counties. Jack joined Churchill, Quinn, Hamilton & Van Donselaar, Ltd. in 2008 to practice alongside his father, John W. Quinn. The two can be readily distinguished by the differences in their middle initials.

Since joining the firm, Jack has represented individuals and businesses in a wide array of civil disputes. Jack regularly represents individuals and businesses in breach of contract disputes, as well as individuals in family disputes concerning wills, trust and estates. Jack has represented employers and employees in litigation concerning restrictive covenants, wage claims and misappropriated funds.

Jack has litigated on behalf of various churches and religious groups in factional disputes, litigation involving other churches, and litigation regarding the application of the ecclesiastical abstention doctrine.

Jack handles appellate matters and has filed numerous briefs and participated in oral arguments in the Second District Appellate Court of Illinois. He has obtained favorable results in appeals involving First Amendment issues concerning freedom of speech and freedom of religion and has represented clients in more complex issues of law and procedure.
